The Robotics Seminar is intended for all robotics students, as well as for students wishing to learn more about robotics and robotics research at Utah. It is a chance for the Utah robotics community to get together on a weekly basis. The course will feature tutorials on background materials such as Matlab, C/C++, and statistics; technical presentations by robotics graduate students; and discussions of recent trends and important results elsewhere.

  • Weeks 2-4: Review/crash courses in C/C++, Matlab, statistics, etc.
  • Week 5: How to conduct a literature review and critique technical\ papers.
  • Weeks 6-9: Senior robotics students (>2 years) present research and discuss related journal articles.
  • Weeks 10-13: 2nd-year robotics students present.
  • Weeks 14-15: 1st-year robotics students present.
