Overview
Planet is a social networking application, designed to run on Google's new Android platform. Planet will feature
three core functions: allow cellphone users to instant message each other, join chat rooms and blog dynamically.
Much of the innovations will come not from these features, which have been around for a while, but how they are
implemented on a cellphone. Partly this means taking into consideration the low resource environment in which
they will run and provide a quality experience within these constraints. More importantly, however, this means
taking advantage of the cellphones mobility, microphone and camera to enhance the before mentioned features.
